Today for breakfast I had 2 bananas and a Slimfast protein shake with a scoop of instant coffee blended in. Sounds like a lot but, I am seriously lacking energy today. MS take a lot out of me, and yesterday was a very long but fun day. A lot of energy was used tho.
I have decided that the vegan lifestyle is not right for me right now. I am still not eating meat, but I did add the protein shakes which are blended with milk. Cheese and milk are the only non-vegan things I am eating tho, and I only eat cheese once a week. I really am working double hard on getting myself healthy. I miss walking so much! I exercise and stretch and diet and still need this damn chair! It is disappointing, and bums me out a lot, but I know with hard work comes reward so even on occasion when I want to give up, I don’t. Can’t give up on me! No one will believe in a person who does not believe in themselves.
Last night I made the most yummy dinner! I mixed a can of chick peas and 1 sliced up eggplant and 2 table spoons of minced garlic all in my frying pan with non-stick cooking spray, chili powder, and black pepper and about 2 tablespoons of chives…It was hot and spicy and crispy and it was just AMAZING!
For breakfast this morning I am having olives. I woke up with a killer headache and didn’t feel like washing dishes or cooking. Maybe I will have a pink grapefruit in a bit. I’m waiting for the headache to totally pass. Put some Icy Hot on my forehead which killed about 90% of the pain, but 10% is hanging around just to be an ass.
A true winner has lost before. They may even lose again, but they ALWAYS try. They never quit. You can’t win if you drop out. Give everything your all, always!
I had some air-popped popcorn for breakfast and some spicy, garlic seasoned eggplant fried in cooking spray for lunch. It was sooooo good! Cleared my sinuses too.
You must get rid of your regular negative thoughts that you have on a daily basis about yourself, before you can change your perceptions of yourself. You need to start handling your thoughts about yourself. Point out your good points to yourself on a daily basis. Look at yourself in the mirror, compliment yourself. Do this daily. More than once a day if possible. Find things that you truly enjoy and cherish about yourself, and say them out loud too, so that you are not only thinking your self-praise, you are hearing it. Wake up all of your senses with positivity as often as you can!
Acquire within yourself:
Make your positive energy contagious and affect everyone who comes into your life!
You will never be truly free until you free yourself, body, mind, spirit, and soul, from the jail of your own negative thoughts.
To change your life from negative to positive you must first change your thoughts and priorities to a happy, upbeat way of thinking and living. Your priorities should be based around how you can live life to its happiest and fullest, while still being able to stay in touch with your responsibilities as an adult.
Fresh fruit salad for dinner with a glass of seltzer.
Fruit salad: 1 banana, 1 apple, 1 orange, ½ cup pineapple…all sliced up and mixed together in their natural juices.
For dinner tonight I had 2 grapefruits and 2 small oranges. I was more thirsty than hungry, but I knew I had to eat something so this was a great solution to that problem. Oranges and grapefruits are also negative calorie foods so that’s pretty dang awesome too. Plus, did you know…Citrus contains flavonoids, plant compounds that may promote heart health?
My son died almost 7 months ago, and I don’t now how I am supposed to feel. Sometimes I feel like I can’t go on and other times I feel that if I give up I would be letting my son down. I really just don’t know what to do with myself. I am in a funk, and I am doing my best to claw my way out, but usually, when I am sad, my son is the one who cheers me up. So, now what am I supposed to do?
Oh my gawd dinner was so good! I took 4 small, red potatoes, washed them and sliced them and then microwaved them for 3 minutes. Then I sprayed a frying pan with non-stick cooking pray and put the potato slices in it. I covered them with garlic salt, chili powder, black pepper, and 3 tablespoons of minced garlic. So spicy and yummy after cooking in the frying pan on medium-low for about 25 minutes stirring and flipping the potato slices every 5 minutes.
In 2015 I wrote a book that was full of little pieces of personal advice. The book sold alright, but not as well as I hoped it would. I have decided to add parts of it to this blog.
You should never care about what other people think of you because your thoughts of yourself are truly all that matter.
Stop worrying about your outer appearance and concentrate on your inner appearance.
You should never lie to yourself. Make yourself a promise. Promise yourself that you will be strong. Promise yourself that you will be so strong, and that nothing and no one will ever be able to disrupt your happy.
No one can ruin your inner peace unless you yourself, allow them to.
